The Langhe Bianco In Amphoris DOC 2022 from the Azienda Agricola Ronchi is a Piedmontese white wine made from the best Arneis grapes and aged in terracotta amphorae.
Grape Variety: 100% Arneis
Vineyards: Municipality of Guarene, in the locality of "Bosco"
Soil: medium-textured soil with sandy infiltrations over marly skeleton.
Cultivation: almost entirely manual; rows following the contours of the land. Traditional Guyot pruning with arch adjustments and 7-8 buds on the fruiting shoot. The autumn processing of the soil is carried out in alternate rows, sowing legumes and other cover crops. No chemical fertilization and herbicide are practiced. Pest control treatments are based on integrated pest management and the sexual confusion method with pheromones against the vine moth.
Harvest: grapes are hand-picked, usually in the second decade of September.
Vinification: begins with destemming and gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures around 16-18° C in steel containers.
Aging: aging occurs in terracotta amphorae for at least 8 months before bottling in late spring following the harvest. A suitable refinement in the bottle follows.
Alcohol Content: 14% vol
